Dean Harris is a British actor, noted for his roles on television.
His credits include: Z-Cars, Dixon of Dock Green, Softly, Softly, The Sweeney, Shoestring, Blake's 7, The Fourth Arm, Howards' Way, Bergerac, EastEnders, Casualty, London's Burning, As Time Goes By, Drop the Dead Donkey, Love Hurts, Heartbeat and The Bill.
On 16 April 2007, Dean appeared in ITV's Diamond Geezer, alongside David Jason. It was Harris' first TV appearance since 2000.
Dean Harris went in to acting at the age of 18 making his debut in theatre with Godspell. He is subsequently known for his many British television roles, a handful which are listed above. In his personal life, Harris became a father of twins in 1978 called Jonathan and Georgina with former partner, actress Katy Manning whom he separated from in 1981. He also has a son called Beau, from a subsequent relationship, who was born in 2000. In 2006, Dean married for the first time to Karen O'Callagan, inheriting stepdaughter, Sophie. In more recent years, Dean Harris concentrated on the business side of the acting profession, setting up a small acting agency with his wife, which they ran together up until its closure in 2009. Dean, now semi retired from acting, also works alongside his wife with special needs adults in the field of education.
